چکیده

M oday, O cber 9, 2017 in their practices to help patients understand what their surgical result following rhinoplasty may look like. The development of polymer filaments, laser, and computer-aided design has permitted the creation of three-dimensional (3D) scanning and printing technology. Most recently, 3D domestic scanning and printing has become available. This new technology allows the surgeon and the patient to view a sculpture of the nose. The labored mould can be palpated, rotated and viewed from many angles, this technology goes beyond a simple 3D-shaded visualization on a flat monitor.

Abstract P33: Validation of Vectra 3D Imaging for Quantitative Volumetric Measurement of Upper Extremity Lymphedema

PSRC Abstract Supplement P oter P rofs gel concentrations. Mechanical tests were carried out with an indentation test, and the deformation distance of the gel construct was used as an indicator of relative gel stiffness. A total of 5 different concentrations were used with relative stiffness including: <1, 5, 9, 18 and 25 kPa. The 3D gels were cultured as a single droplet on a 48-well suspensio...

Abstract P34: Variation in Transfusion Practice and Associated Postoperative Complications in Abdominally-Based Autologous Breast Reconstruction Surgery

RESULTS: Ten patients with lymphedema of the arm were enrolled for volume measurement. Arm volumes ranged from 1517 to 4050 cc. The Vectra 3D provided precise volume measurements (average standard deviation +/0.8%). Measurements of the forearm and upper arm correlated with circumference measurements (R = 0.991) and were in good agreement, with the mean difference between measurement techniques ...

Lymphaticovenular bypass for lymphedema management in breast cancer patients: a prospective study.

BACKGROUND Lymphedema is a common and debilitating condition. Management options for lymphedema are limited and controversial. The purpose of this prospective study was to provide a preliminary analysis of lymphaticovenular bypass for the treatment of upper limb lymphedema in breast cancer patients. METHODS Twenty patients with upper extremity lymphedema secondary to treatment of breast cance...

MR imaging of the lymphatic system: distribution and contrast enhancement of gadodiamide after intradermal injection.

We examined 24 lower extremities in 12 patients with lymphedema to evaluate the distribution and enhancement of gadodiamide after intradermal injection for MR imaging of lymphatic pathways in lymphedematous patients. The lymphedema was bilateral in 8, unilateral in 4, and 3 patients suffered from lymphedema in the genital region. 9 mL of gadodiamide and 1 mL of mepivacainhydrochloride 1% were d...

Staging of upper limb lymphedema from routine lymphoscintigraphic examinations

Secondary lymphedema of upper limbs, a frequent complication after a breast cancer therapy, can be successfully treated only when diagnosed at an early, ideally latent, stage. Lymphoscintigraphy is a promising candidate to this purpose. A slow lymphatic dynamics of upper limbs allows, however, a routine collection at most three images reflecting it. This makes an exploitation of lymphoscintigra...
